Another Fork in The Road

My dear readers, I apologize for the lack of activity on my blog. I have been busy with schoolwork. Haha, I'm not really that busy as to neglect my blogging activities. I was just too lazy to write anything, though I do have tons of insights and ideas I want to share on my blog. I'll do my best to continue to keep this blog alive and active. There will be more and more posts in the future though sadly, I might not be able to post more of my art as I do not have a scanner nor a good camera to justify my works(hahaha but hopefully I will still be able to). I will write more about my university life and I hope that it would interest you in some way.

A whole year has passed since I started in Ateneo de Davao University. It has been an uber fun ride for me. I have made a lot of new friends and I am very, very thankful for that. I have joined many school activities in sports, art, literature, drama, and dance. I have encountered many teachers and professors who have made my ride both harsh and exciting.

When I first went in the room accompanied by my new classmates, I didn't know what to feel or think. All I knew was that I was going to be stuck with them for four years and I hoped that it would be in a good way. Now it has been a whole year since I first met them, and we have gone through a lot in the past year.

When I first started, I had absolutely no idea what my future would look like in the Ateneo de Davao University. Now, my future has gone from dark to dim as more paths and forks appear in my life. These paths have the potential to change my course in life and I have made a lot of thinking on which pathways to choose and to choose them wisely. Now, another fork in the road has appeared in front of me. It seems fun and will definitely boost my active participation in the university. It requires some amount of responsibility and time in my part. I will provide more information in the not too distant future as to what the "fork" is and my decision upon it.

Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Happy Happy Birthday Mom! Thank you for being my mom! :D
I wish you all the best! I love you and miss you so much! I can't wait until we meet again! God bless! :D

What is "Home?"

Home... As a child, I grew up in many different places, and not just different towns, cities, but countries as well. All that time, I was with my family. We moved to different countries and had great adventures as we started a new lifestyle. My friends call me "Wind Surfer", the boy who just flows wherever the wind blows and also call me "The Boy with No Home", but what does that mean to me? What is on my mind when I think of home?

All my life living outside of my hometown, Davao City, I always say that that place is my home. I always talk about how much I feel homesick, how I miss my friends and relatives, and how I miss the very air and atmosphere of the place. I rejoice at the very moment when my parents give us the news that we will be returning back to Davao even for just a short visit.

Now, I am back here in Davao City and in a situation that I have dream't about for years, to go to college here and experience school life again with actual classrooms, classmates, strict school rules, and annoying teachers. I don't remember the time when I've ever been happier than when I heard the news that I was going back to my hometown and actually stay there for a really long time. I am now in my second semester of my first year here and boy, is it exhausting, but it still is a ton of fun.

Though I am actually living the "dream come true" saying literally, I realize that "home" is not a place, but rather the people that make up a true home. All my life, I dream't of going back to the place where I was born, to my "home", but now I realize in all those years, I never left. My home is where my family is, wherever they may be. I miss them so much. There really is no place like home.
